Announcements of Future Events

Present projects include: Minuet in G Whiz for two pianos and A Better resurrection, for solo soprano, male chorus, and piano, with poetry by Christina Rosetti.

A new version of Sonata for Violin and Piano, "Celtic Wedding," which was commissioned by Pacific serenades, is being prepared for publication by that organization.

Piano Sonata No. 6 "The Waste Land" has been submitted for the Barto Prize (winner to be chosen in 2008). The piece also won second honor in the New Ariel Competition, and it will be recorded by pianist, Jeff Jacob for Capstone Records.

Paul has won the Definiens Project Music Composition Contest. He wrote a piece for oboe, alto saxophone, violin, violoncello, and piano (Your Reality Check is in the Mail) for the group's 2006-2007 concert season. Premiere was at the Jazz Bakery on January 29, 2007 (7:30 PM) with a second performance at the Koos Art Center in Long Beach, California on February 1.
